meh..

just realized..
1. the best things i created took less than 1,5 hours (i tend to screw it up if it takes more time)
2. in 3 month i have progressed slightly, next to not at all.. just a tiny bit.. from not drawing hands/feets to drawing them like stupid blocks. i get on with backgrounds and enviroments a bit tho.
3. the best stuff started out as shapes, not lines
4. i can't really see a pattern, things i did 3 month ago look equally good as today with crap all spread in between
5. my favorite drawings i did look all clean and sylized with sharp edges and smooth grandients, much like i would expect a cut-scene on the snes

so that tells us what?
1. i need to work on my approach.
2. if something looks right, do it.
3. if not, try to fix it.
4. if you can't fix it, start over.
5. get out of your comfort zone, do details and lines.
6. think in perspective and analyse the subject rather than copying it and trying to fool the viewer.
7. study the "master's" work.. what do you like about a picture? WHAT makes it so mindblowing? try to understand and replicate it!
8. stop going for a walk to the toilet/kitchen every 10min just so you're not forced to draw.. stop going thru tumblr/flickr/boards/fb/twitter/blogspot every 20min, noone gives a fuck anyway. stop thinking. stop writing.
